- Can I choose my own colors?
Yes. All Raceline Digital graphic packages can be changed by selecting the colors of your choice from the graphic elements indicated by the letters A, B, C & D. All colors are located on our ‘Color Chart’ page. NOTE: Not Some colors may not be available for all applications.
- Does the length of the boat price the graphics?
No. All graphics are priced per linear foot of graphic and not the length of the boat. Lettering is priced per letter.
-
Can the height of the graphics be specified?
Yes. The height of all Raceline Digital graphics can be tailored to suit the needs of most boats to insure that the graphics fit correctly.
-
Can I have graphics made for the deck or other areas of the boat?
Yes. Raceline Digital can adapt any of our graphic packages to fit just about any area of your boat. We manufacture deck graphics, engine hatch graphics, transom graphics, windscreen graphics and more.
- What is the material used to manufacture the graphics and how long will it last?
Raceline Digital use only the best marine rated, pressure sensitive vinyl film for all of our graphics. Our supply of vinyl film is of gloss, deep color and superior adhesive properties that give many years of great looks and durability. Over 6 years life-span is not uncommon.
- Do the graphic elements over-lap each other?
All Raceline Digtial graphics are designed and manufactured using our proprietary design methodology called OE DESIGN. All graphic elements are 'cookie-cut' to eliminate over-lap which insures trouble free, long lasting results. This method also allows for the ease of installation and makes repairing graphics a breeze.
- Are the graphics durable?
Yes. The marine rated vinyl film we use in all of our graphics are fuel and solvent resistant and stand up to the harsh UV marine environment that resist color fading and adhesive failure.
- Should I clear coat over my graphics?
No. Our graphics should never be clear coated. They have a high gloss finish but most importantly, the material needs to expand and contract with temperature changes. If clear coat is applied, it will crack due to these properties.
- How difficult are the graphics to install?
Our graphics are designed for the novice installer and our detailed application guide & tools make the process straightforward and can usually be accomplished in one day. Our wet method of installation of a water/soap mixture sprayed on the boat surface allows the graphics to be slid into place. See our Installation Guide for more detailed information.
- Can I have custom graphics made?
Yes, however during peak production times this service is not available. Please contact us with your requirements.
- Can I have text incorporated (name etc.) into the graphics?
Yes. Raceline Digital frequently adds text into the graphics for a more dynamic look. Just contact us with your requirements.
-
Can I wax and/or buff my graphics?
Yes. Raceline Digital recommends the use of wax products, however wax products that contain abrasives or that dry to a white film can damage the finish or leave a white chalky build-up along the edge of the graphics. Orbital buffers are not recommended.
- How do I remove my old vinyl graphics?
Raceline Digital recommends the use of a hair-dryer to heat the graphics so they become softer. Starting from the end corner, slowly peel the graphics, adding heat as you go. Patience is the key. Any residue such as adhesive that remains can be removed with common glue removal products.
- Can I buff my boat before applying my graphics?
Yes. Buffing the surface will insure that any residue on the surface is removed. A clean surface allows the graphic's adhesive to bond to the surface evenly.
-
What happens if I damage part of the graphics?
Raceline Digital create back-up files of all our clients. We can re-call your graphics file and cut the elements you have damaged. Just remove the damaged elements and replace with the new. Another benefit of our OE DESIGN design and manufacturing method.
-
Can I have tow-vehicle graphics made?
Yes. Raceline Digital can create matching graphics for your car, truck or van. Just contact us with your requirements.
- Can I get a package made to cover existing gel coat graphics and will they fit?
No. The reason is that our graphics are die cut with a small gap between colors so that every element adheres to the boat surface and not layered vinyl over vinyl. This means the existing graphics will show though the gaps.
Thermally printed graphics can be applied right over top of existing graphics but require detailed measurements but covering the entire hull or deck will require a full boat wrap application, which we do not supply.
- Can I leave my graphics unpacked for a long period of time?
Raceline Digital does not advise leaving your graphics unpacked for more than 30 days and must be kept in a cool dry place. Extreme humidity can cause the premask tape to come unstuck from the backing liner but does not interfere with installation.
